Cady Mountain Plume Jasp-Agate Unpolished Slab: Intense Red Plumes; California

Description

From the Mohave Desert in eastern California, this slice contains intense red plumes on a contrasting near-black background. There are a few spots of translucent bluish agate, but gems cut from this piece will be opaque. There are some formation/stress fractures typical for this area (this is earthquake country after all) to work around, but there is plenty of solid material here from which to cut several dramatic gems.
The photo which includes the measure/ruler was taken dry, the material in the other pictures was dampened to better approximate how the colors and patterns may intensify after being polished. I made photos in direct sun. Whitish spots are either bubbles or places where the slab started to dry before I could snap the photo.
