    R.I.P.   Glen Travis Campbell.    We've lost a great one.  Glen Campbell's star dimmed as so many great ones did,  but like his framed eulogy and history that comes with this offering says,  he was a
    NOVA
    who exploded onto the country music scene and his light will blaze in the Country Music Hall of Fame and in the hearts of country music fans forever.   His 15 Gold & Platinum awards,  his numerous Grammy's and Grammy nominations and countless other awards,  membership in the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Grand Ole' Opry are just a few of this sharecropper's son's accomplishments.

    As his bio states,  he got his first guitar from his Uncle at age 4....bought for from a Sears catalogue.  Glen was 1 of 12 kids who picked cotton every day,  living on a dirt floor.  He was a true  RAGS-TO-RICHES  story.   A fairy tale.   How many people knew he was a Beach Boy for 7 months when Brian Wilson became ill ?   He was so fantastic co-hosting the Smothers Brothers Summer special,  the network gave him his own show,  The
    Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour
    and it ran for 4 great years.  Young folks wouldn't know about that.
    Glen Campbell was a great one.  RHINESTONE COWBOY was only a GOLD record and not PLATINUM,  but it was Glen's
    SIGNATURE song.   Rhinestone Cowboy
    will always be what Glen is most remembered for.   This award is a MUST HAVE if you're a Glen Campbell fan. *
    My dad was the premier GOLD & PLATINUM awards maker in Nashville for 50 years.  I have several storage shed full of his over-produced awards and thousands of posters,  signed photos and other memorabilia I continuously list on ebay.  Check my items out.  I can only handle so many at one time,  so follow me if you love country music.   When Glen passed away,  I rooted through boxes to find these.  I knew he had them somewhere and I only have a limited number of them.
